An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
