Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
